The Band

DAVID MALTESE
Synthesizers, drum machines, vocals.
"I have had a fascination with synthesizers and
electronic music since 1980, when I became enthralled
with Carl Sagan's educational science show, "Cosmos",
which featured on its soundtrack many of the top synthesist
musicians of its time. In the early years of the 1980s, the New Wave movement
was in full swing, and I found myself mesmerized by the new
nd culture. This is a feeling that has never left me.
GENEVIEVE LECLERC
Additional Vocals
"My musical tastes are quite eclectic, including classic and
current rock to traditional and modern Celtic music.
A couple of my favorite bands that got their start in the early eighties are R.E.M. and U2.
'Murmur' and 'War' are both fantastic albums.
Although I haven't followed the Synthpop movement as closely
as David, I am so impressed by his passion for the musical styles
of bands like Yaz and Kraftwerk and the art of the synthesizer."
Instead of going into much detail about who we are, we'd like to tell you who we are not: We are not pretentious. We aren't trying to be tough, cool, chic, hip, shocking, or cutting-edge. We aren't trying to get rich or famous. We just want to make the kind of music we like (and if you like it too, we're happy to oblige!).
We'd also like to mention some of the people who so generously donate their own time and resources toward the success of Multimode Music: Ericka Berg for her artistic direction, photography, and PR work and Chris Irwin for his neverending patience, support, and unconditional love throughout this entire process.
